For
companies to invest time, money and commitment to really understand the
drivers and inhibitors of creative thinking and a business culture that has
innovation at its core, there is often a need for facts and stories that pinpoint
what the issues are and where the company should focus its energy.
ENTHEO™ offers DISCOVERY services to help get beneath the skin of what
makes the company tick, the enablers and obstacles to innovation and the degree
to which people are empowered to think and behave in ways that will ensure
they effectively create and utilise the appropriate “mind sets” and “skill
sets” to their best advantage.
Stakeholder Interviews
These are normally one to one or small group interviews with influential people
in the organisation set up to understand different view points and perspectives.
Story Telling
This can be incorporated into stakeholder interviews or employee groups but
the main purpose is to understand where, how, and why innovation is working
through the stories people tell rather than just through quantitative data
or managerial view points.
Employee Groups
These are facilitated discussions with employees about how the organisation
fosters or inhibits creative thinking and cultures of innovation. The group
dynamic helps to spark debate and clarify core issues.
Profiling (Motivational & Behavioural)
There are a variety of models that can be deployed to help understand values
and behaviours in the work place. ENTHEO™ are practitioners in the Spony
Profiling Model (SPM) which is an integrated tool that helps companies understand
their corporate culture, micro cultures, and individual management motivation
and communication styles. Where appropriate, the model can also be used to
understand cross-cultural differences and the impact national culture has on
an individual’s value system. The model helps companies to articulate
often complex issues and gives an integrated framework for understanding its
present culture on multiple levels.
Research and Analysis
This can be on a variety of levels depending on the project. ENTHEO™ has
direct experience of both qualitative and quantitative research as well as
having partnerships with companies that can provide international reach and
scale for larger quantitative projects. ENTHEO™ works collaboratively
with SIFO
Research
International in Sweden who specialise in organisational
and employee research. We also have a partnership with
CENTRIM,
‘The
Centre for Research in Innovation Management’ at Brighton University.
If a company is looking to expand into a new market and wants to understand its
strategic context, ENTHEO™ can undertake desk research to scope out market
dynamics and gather initial inspiration for idea generation with consumers or
business customers.

Observation
Observation is an excellent way to gather insight into the
needs and frustrations of a market, whether it is for prompting ideas for a
new product or service or collecting organisational observations to spark debate
for more innovative ways of working.
Discovery Workshops
These workshops bring together the different threads of the DISCOVER phase
and are designed to help the company unpack the issues and prioritise its
strategic innovation parameters. Each workshop is unique and is creatively
designed to help the company make decisions that will support it in building
and sustaining cultures of innovation.
The important thing is to provoke debate, stretch the mind, and to get people
thinking more strategically about what it is they are really trying to achieve
and the type of innovation business, and success they want to create.
